-Anaïs Nin

The Adventure
ESCALANTE, UTAH Located in Utah's scenic red rock canyon country overlooking Escalante’s Grand Staircase and Capitol Reef- both home to some of the world’s best and most scenic hiking trails without the mess of crowds. The hiking and outdoor activity opportunities are absolutely endless. There is so much to see in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. You won't find a more scenic, rugged and remote place to hike. The Paria River and its tributaries have carved out buttes, mesas and canyons including one of the worlds longest slot canyons, Buckskin Gulch. |
The Homestead
BOULDER MOUNTAIN GUEST RANCH Magic lives here. Nestled one mile from the illuminated Painted Desert of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and two miles below the abundant aspen and pine tree forested peaks of Boulder Mountain, is the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch (BMGR). The Ranch is located right off the beautiful scenic Hwy 12 and sits on 173 acres. A short drive up from the Ranch will lead you to the hidden mountain paradise of Dixie National Forest. A true green emerald, placed in the middle of a red-rock paradise, would be a fair description. The mountain’s close proximity to the stunning sandstone deserts below display the stark contrast of nature’s diversity and can be seen in very few other places on Earth. |
“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that damn mountain.”
Jack Kerouac
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not yet lived.”
-Henry David Thoreau
